Bathing is one of the habits that characterize civilized people and the pure and chaste person. Thus, the bathing of Jesus Christ was an event that represented a blessing for the place in which it occurred, because of its connotations of purity and chastity.

The miracle of the water spring in Mostorod

The Holy Family went to Mostorod, and during this period the child felt thirsty and asked for water. Since the area in which they reside had no water source, the child, seeing his mother's grief and confusion for not being able to provide water, asked Saint Joseph, the Carpenter, to dig in a circle drawn by Jesus. Then, a spring of water gushed forth by the Divine Child, so the Virgin bathed him and washed his clothes. Later, the place was called "Al-Mahamah" meaning the bathing place.
