Imprinting Jesus Foot and hand on Rocks

Fourth, the miracles of imprinting the foot or hand of the Lord Jesus on the rock

It is a tradition that stems from the influence of the myths and folk stories inherited from the Egyptian heritage on the Egyptians and the impact of the stories of the Greco-Roman gods and the material effects they left behind, including the imprinting of parts of the body of the Lord Jesus on stones, such as: the foot or the palm of the hand.

The miracle of imprinting Christ's foot in the city of "Sakha" in Kafr El-Sheikh

The virgin stopped her beloved son, on the base of a pillar, so his foot sank into the stone, and was imprinted on it, then a spring of water gushed out of it. This place was called "Jesus' heel", and people began to come from everywhere and put oil in the place of the foot and carry it to their countries and benefit from the blessing of this oil for healing and other purposes.

The miracle of the rock and the palm of Christ

During their journey, the Holy family came to an area known as "Jabal al-Tair" near Samalut, and while they were passing by in a boat in the Nile, a large rock from the mountain almost fell on them by the work of a witch woman. The Virgin was terrified, and the child Jesus extended his hand to prevent the rock from falling on them. Jesus' palm was imprinted on the rock, and the mountain became known as the "Mount of the Palm". Later, Saint Helena built a church in the name of the Virgin which became known as the "Church of Our Lady of the Palm".
